Yick Wo Elementary School

Here is an elementary school in San Francisco named for Yick Wo, a Chinese alien who operated a laundry in San Francisco for many years, but was refused a permit. When he continued to run the business, he was arrested. The Supreme Court reversed the conviction, because it was administered in a discriminatory fashion.
