Captain Henry B. Todd
Captian Henry B. Todd was a commander of the Lincoln Cavalry in 1861, with the job of guarding the capital. After being captured by the Confederates, Todd was later exchanged for a Confederate prisoner of war, and went on to become provost marshal of Washington, DC. Though he was of no relation to Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd, this carte de visite was found in the Lincoln's personal album.
