Alexander Stephens
Alexander Hamilton Stephens (1812-1883) was vice-president of the Confederacy. Though he voted against the secession of Georgia, he accepted his state's decision. As vice president of the Confederacy from 1861 to 1865, Stephens consistently rejected the policies of Jefferson Davis, his president.
