Nashville Civil Rights Demonstration
A policeman holds back a young African-American protester and threatens him with a night stick. He was arrested and thrown into a police wagon. Over 200 protesters left a church earlier to march on segregated restaurants in downtown Nashville, but a near riot broke out when a leader was beaten and arrested.
