Edmund Brooke Alexander (1803-1888)
Edmund Brooke Alexander served with distinction during the Mexican War. During the Civil War he was stationed in Dakota and Nebraska until 1863, when he became a recruiting officer in Missouri for the 10th U.S. Infantry. He was brevetted a brigadier general in 1865.
