Christopher Columbus Andrews (1829-1922)
Christopher Columbus Andrews was brevetted a major general of volunteers in the Union army during the Civil War. Andrews was captured in Tennessee and exchanged after three months. He would later write "My Experience in Rebel Prisons." After the war he served as U.S. minister to Sweden and Norway and consul general to Brazil.
