Henry Whitney Bellows (1814-1882)
Bellows was a Unitarian Clergyman who was the pastor of the All Souls Unitarian Church in New York city from 1839 until his death. He helped found and was president of the U. S. Sanitary Commission. This civilian organization was dedicated to help care for sick and wounded soldiers and their dependent families during the Civil War.
