Leopold Kahn Beside his Top Hat
While visiting San Francisco in 1870, Barnum signed up the midget Leopold Kahn, and dubbed him "Admiral Dot the El Dorado Elf." He weighed just over 15 pounds, but was advertised as "four times smaller than Tom Thumb." Here Kahn's top hat rests on the chair beside him.
