Barnum's Chinese Family

The "Chinese Family" Barnum exhibited consisted of a professor of music, his two young children, a lady vocalist with bound feet, her maid, and an interpreter. Here the lady rests her bound feet - advertised as two and a half inches long - on a stone. The older child displays a traditional braid.
