Montgomery Blair (1813-1883)

Montgomery Blair was the postmaster general in Abraham Lincoln's cabinet. Blair gained prominence as a lawyer when he became the counsel for Dred Scott. He also served as mayor of St. Louis from 1842 to 1843. His brother was General Francis P. Blair, Jr.
