The Potter House on the Confederate Lines near Atlanta

Confederate sharpshooters used the upper windows and the roof of this house to fire down on Union troops during the battle of July 22, 1864. As a result a Union battery of light artillery was ordered and made the house untenable for the sharpshooters.
