Brandy Station, Virginia

Brandy Station, also known as Stoneman Station, was the site of the first and largest cavalry engagement of tthe war, on June 9, 1863. Photographer Egbert Guy Fowx was the assistant to A. J. Russell, the official government photographer during the war.
