Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859)
Brunel was one of the leading British engineers of the nineteenth century. He worked on the Thames Tunnel, the Bristol Docks and the Great Western Railway. He also designed and built steamships including the Great Western, the Great Britain and the Great Eastern.
