Charles Waldron Buckley (1835-1906)
Charles Waldron Buckley was a Republican representative to the United States Congress from Alabama serving from 1868 to 1873. During the American Civil War, he served as chaplain of the 47th regiment of the United States Colored Volunteer Infantry and the 8th regiment of the Louisiana Colored Infantry. Buckley was a graduate of the Union Theological Seminary in New York City in 1863.
