Kaiser Wilhelm Looking at the United States of America

There were many Americans who opposed America's entry into World War I. Some were of German descent and didn't approve of fighting against their country of origin. The cartoon above depicts such pacifists as fitting into the propaganda efforts of Kaiser Wilhelm. The Kaiser's telescope is shaped like a German American man and labeled "pacifist" and "propagandist."
