Malcolm X

Malcolm X points at the crowd during a rally in Harlem. Unlike Martin Luther King he did not advocate non-violence or racial integration, but instead a powerful version of black separatism that was rooted in the teachings of the Black Muslim leader Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam. After he left the Nation of Islam he was assassinated by members of that organization.
