Stokely Carmichael

Stokely Carmichael, a "black power" advocate is shown here at a rally in the Will Rogers Park in the Watts district of Los Angeles. He was repeatedly cheered as he spoke to the crowd of about 2,500 from the flatbed of a truck telling them to form their own city, their own police force, and their own schools.
