Francis Bicknell Carpenter (1830-1900)

This is a portrait of the artist Francis Bicknell Carpenter. Carpenter painted famous portraits of Abraham Lincoln and his family. He became a friend of Lincoln's and wrote a book called Six Months with Lincoln.
