Eliza Roxey Snow (1804-1887)
Snow was a Mormon poet and women's leader. She was married to Joseph Smith and after his death she married his successor, Brigham Young, both men married her and other women under the Mormon practice of plural marriage or spiritual wifery. She helped transform Mormon history into verse and is the author of many of their hymns.
