Eliza Jane Trimble Thompson (1816-1905)

Eliza Jane Trimble Thompson was a founding member of the National Woman's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU). Known as "Mother Thompson," she became a potent symbol of women's power to change society and one of the most beloved icons of the temperance cause.
