John Quincy Adams Ward (1830-1910)
Ward was a prominent American sculptor. His statue, "Indian Hunter," was one of the first to be placed in New York's Central Park. He was a member and president of the National Academy of Design in 1863 as well as one of the founders of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
