Eugene Francis Charles D'Albert (1864-1932)

Eugene Francis Charles D'Albert was a Scottish pianist and composer who is best remembered for his opera Tiefland. D'Albert was a pupil of Franz Liszt. He wrote 21 operas, two piano concerti, chamber music, lieder, piano pieces, and a few orchestral works. He became a naturalized German citizen and taught in Berlin.
