Charlotte Mary Yonge (1823-1901)

Charlotte Mary Yonge was an English novelist. Her writing as well as her life was restricted by the rigid High Church tenets of her upbringing. In spite of their religiosity her books were long popular because of the excellence of their characterization and dialogue. The Heir of Redclyffe and The Daisy Chain are her best known works.
