Alexander Hamilton Coffroth (1828-1906)

Alexander Hamilton Coffroth was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-eighth Congress, serving from 1863 until 1865 as a representative from Pennsylvania. Coffroth claimed reelection to the Thirty-ninth Congress, but was succeeded by William Koontz who contested the election. He was reelected to the Forty-sixth Congress, serving from 1879 until 1881. Coffroth was the last surviving pallbearer who had served at the funeral of President Abraham Lincoln.
