James Fisk, Jr. (1834-1872)
James Fisk, Jr. was an American capitalist and speculator who was part of a number of unscrupulous ventures. In 1870 he bought the post of colonel of the 9th regiment of the New York militia. Fisk is shown here in his uniform for that post.
