Joseph Benson Foraker (1846-1917)
Joseph Benson Foraker was the governor of Ohio and a U.S. senator. He received criticism when it was revealed that he was employed by Standard Oil Company while a member of the U.S. Senate. Foraker enlisted in the Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War and was brevetted captain for his efficient service.
