William Russell Grace (1832-1904)
William Russell Grace was a capitalist and an economic pioneer in imperial capitalism who took financial control of Peru. In 1880 "the Pirate of Peru" was elected the first Roman Catholic mayor of New York City. Grace conducted a reform administration, attacking patronage, poliuce scandals, and organized crime.
