Norvin Green (1818-1893)

Norvin Green was a legislator and physician who was the president of the Western Union Telegraph Company. Green graduated from the Medical College of Louisville in 1840 and was a member of the Kentucky legislature in the early 1850s. He consolidated all the telegraph companies into the Western Union.
