Asher Crosby Hinds (1863-1919)

Asher Crosby Hinds was a congressman from Maine from 1911 to 1917. Hinds studied parliamentary law and procedure while he was the clerk of the speaker's table from 1895 to 1911. During this time he compiled a monumental work, Hinds' Precedents of the House of Representatives of the United States. He graduated from Colby College in 1883.
