Charles Edward Hooker (1825-1914)

Charles Edward Hooker was a Democratic congressman from Mississippi, serving 1875-83, 1887-95, and 1901-03. Hooker fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War, entering the war as a private and being promoted to colonel of cavalry. He was elected the attorney general of Mississippi in 1865 and again in 1868.
