John Mitchell (1870-1919)

John Mitchell was an American labor leader who became a miner at the age of 12 and would eventually serve as the president of the United Mine Workers of America and vice-president of the American Federation of Labor. He wrote Organized Labor (1903) and The Wage Earner and His Problems (1913).
