Andrew Jackson Rogers (1828-1900)
Rogers was a lawyer who was elected as a Democrat to be the U. S. Representative from New Jersey. He served from 1863 until 1867. After practicing law in New York City for a few years, he moved to Denver, Colorado where he became the police commissioner (1892-1896).
