William Rockefeller (1841-1922)
William Rockefeller was an American industrialist and financier. He joined with his brother John D. Rockefeller to found the Standard Oil Company. Rockefeller was a master stock market manipulator and had holdings in the railroad, copper, public utility and banking industries. At the time of his death in in 1922, he left a fortune estimated at $150-$200 million.
