Willie Lincoln Holding a Straw Hat

William Wallace Lincoln was born on December 21, 1850, the third son of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. He was named after Dr. William Wallace, who was married to Mary Todd's sister, Frances. Willie died tragically on February 20, 1862, presumably from typhoid fever.
