Annette Kellerman (1887-1975)

The professional swimmer, actress, and writer from Australia was one of the creators of synchronized swimming. The first woman to champion controversial one-piece bathing suits, Kellerman was also the first actress to do a nude scene in a film (1916). In this production photo she poses with her arms outstretched, above a pool of water.
