Annie Early Wheeler (1868-1955)

The daughter of General Joseph Wheeler was photographed the day before her departure to serve as a nurse under Clara Barton. She served in Cuba and the Philippines during the Spanish American War, and in France during World War I. Wheeler belonged to the Red Cross.
