Henry Lee (1756-1818)
Colonel Henry Lee, a cavalry officer during the Revolutionary War, earned the nickname "Light Horse Harry." Lee served as governor of Virginia and as a U.S. congressman. He was the father of Robert E. Lee, the Confederate general. This engraved portrait by G. R. Hall was published by G. P. Putnam in New York.
