Nathaniel Parker Willis (1806-1867)
Nathaniel Parker Willis was a popular American writer, poet and journalist in his day, focusing on America's economic elite. He is remembered as a writer of gossip and trifles - such as his accounts of his travels through Europe - and a literary man about town. This engraving of Willis as a young man is inscribed, "Yours always, my dear Laurance, N. P. Willis."
