Adolph von Steinwehr (1822-1877)

Baron Adolph Wilhelm August Friedrich von Steinwehr, a Prussian officer, immigrated to the U.S. and became a Union colonel, 29th New York, then brigadier general. After the war he was a cartographer and geographer who taught at Yale University.
