Charles Arnette Towne (1858-1928)
Charles Arnette Towne was a republican U.S. congressman from 1895-97 and a democratic U.S. senator from 1900-1901 from Minnesota. Towne was elected as a democratic U.S. congressman from New York and served from 1905-07. He graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1881.
