George Vickers (1801-1879)

George Vickers was a U.S. senator from Maryland from 1868 to 1873. Vickers was also a major general of the Maryland state militia in 1861, a presidential elector on the Democratic ticket in 1864, vice president of the Union National Convention of Conservatives in Philadelphia in 1866, and a member of the Maryland state senate from 1866 to 1867.
