Sarah Cooper (1793-1869)

Sarah Bedell, Mrs. Peter Cooper, was the wife of the inventor, manufacturer, and philanthropist. The couple married in 1813, and had two children who lived past childhood, Sarah Amelia and Edward. Sarah is credited with assisting her husband in the creation of gelatin dessert.
