Benjamin Thomas (1902-1956)

Benjamin P. Thomas was an author, historian and Lincoln scholar. He wrote "Abraham Lincoln: A Biography" and "Lincoln's New Salem" and essays including "Lincoln's Humor" and "The Individuality of Lincoln." He was the executive secretary of the Abraham Lincoln Association in Springfield, Illinois, from 1932 to 1936. He later served as a trustee of the Illinois State Historical Library.
