This wood engraving of a man whipping a slave as two other men and a child watch was originally published in "Trial and imprisonment of Jonathan Walker, At Pensacola, Florida, For Aiding Slaves to Escape from Bondage," which was published in 1845 in Boston by the Anti-Slavery office.
