Benjamin William Brice (1809-1892)
Benjamin William Brice graduated from West Point in 1829. He served on the frontier before resigning to practice law in Ohio. There he was active in the militia and sat on the bench for a time. Brice was a Major Staff Paymaster during the Mexican War and Colonel Paymaster General during the Civil War. He was brevetted Major General.
