Daniel Cameron (1828-1879)
Daniel Cameron was Colonel of the kilt clad Scottish regiment of the 65th Illinois Infantry during the Civil War. He was brevetted Brigadier General, U.S. Volunteers. He was born in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Scotland and came to America with his family in 1851.
