George Hampton Crosman (1798-1882)

George Hampton Crosman graduated from West Point in 1823. He served on the frontier, was chief quartermaster of the Seminole War, and fought in the Mexican War. During the Civil War he was chief quartermaster of the Department of Pennsylvania and the Shenandoah. He was brevetted Major General. Crosman wrote the Manual for the Quartermaster's Department.
