Henry Eugene Davies (1836-1894)

Henry Eugene Davies was educated at Harvard, Williams, and Columbia, where he graduated in 1857. Although he lacked professional training, he was promoted to the rank of Major General, Volunteers. He was originally commissioned a Captain in the 5th New York in May 1861 and then served in the 2nd New York Cavalry.
