Charles Victor De Land (1827-1903)

Charles Victor De Land was a Captain with the 9th Michigan and Colonel of the 1st Michigan sharpshooters. He was captured twice during the war. De Land was brevetted Brigadier General, U.S. Volunteers. He was a newspaper editor before the war.
