Addison Farnsworth (1825-1877)
Addison Farnsworth fought in the Mexican War and at the outbreak of the Civil War he helped organize the 38th New York Volunteers and became its lieutenant colonel. He then was promoted to colonel with the 38th New York Volunteers and was severely wounded at Bull Run while in this command. He was brevetted brigadier general of Volunteers.
